Tamerlan is the one man dark ambient/neoclassical/folk project of Timur Iskandarov, a native Russian and Uzbek artist who started with this particular project while living in Serbia, in the beginning of the year 2006. Tamerlan is the result of searching for the artist’s own musical identity after participation in several acoustic and metal acts from Serbia. The first demo was recorded in the year 2006, which was followed by the cooperation with Dark Revolution Records. Two releases were created in the cooperation with that label: an EP called Full Moon Festival (2007), and the full length album called The Antiexistence (2008). There were several live presentations, all of which surprised both audience and critiques in the most positive way. Tamerlan has also participated in several compilations around the world and in Serbia. In the year 2009, The Antiexistence album was re-released for the Ekleipsi Netlabel from Italy. The Summer of the same year also brought the new Tamerlan record entitled “Gemini – Worlds Of Eternal Creation”, which will be released on the spring solstice, 2010 by the label Quartier23 from Germany.
