A Priori je osnovan u Jagodini, septembra 1999. godine. Grupu je osnovao kompozitor i pijanista/klavijaturista Slaviša Malenović Pinki. Muzika koju izvodi A Priori je inspirisana folklorom Balkana sa uticajima jazz-a, progressive rock-a, world music, klasične muzike i elektronske muzike. Debi grupe je bio na World music festivalu Etnomus u Jagodini 1999. godine. Tokom sledeće dve godine, grupa je učestvovala na nekoliko muzičkih festivala u našoj zemlji i inostranstvu. Godine 2002, grupa je prestala sa radom iz opravdanih razloga, dok je osnivač grupe Pinki nastavio da radi na raznim projektima. Godine 2006, Pinki je obnovio grupu A Priori kao trio koji cini: Slaviša Malenović Pinki – klavijature, Miodrag Antić – gitara i Vladislav Dopuđa – bas gitara.
