Terms and Conditions of Volunteering

Please carefully read the following information concerning your rights, obligations and behavior as volunteers during your engagement with Exit Festival 2010.

  1. In order to become a volunteer within Exit Festival 2010, a candidate is obliged to pass the interview and the complete training.
  2. Personal data from the application form are susceptible to Ministry of Internal Affairs verification and will not be available to third parties, or used in any other purposes
  3. A volunteer is obliged to do voluntary work from July 5 to 12 at Exit Festival, Novi Sad, for up to five hours within one shift.
  4. A volunteer within their engagement during Exit Festival is not entitled to a monetary compensation.
  5. A volunteer is obliged to perform their duty in accordance with professional and ethical rules after receiving instructions from the volunteer organizer, as well as to preserve company secrets and classified personal data about volunteering organizers.
  6. A volunteer is obliged to perform according to their organizer's instructions, unless when it comes to businesses that can threaten the life of the volunteers or other people, morally unacceptable, and opposed to the accepted terms and conditions of volunteering.
  7. If performing according to the instructions can cause damage to the organizers, volunteers, beneficiaries of their work or third parties, a volunteer is obliged to warn team leaders, or their supervisor about that.
  8. A volunteer is not responsible for any caused damage provided that they have warned team leaders or their supervisors of the possible danger beforehand.
  9. A volunteer bears sole responsibility for their own behavior during their engagement, takes responsibility for their actions and in all other ways. A volunteer accepts responsibility for damage that their improper behavior can potentially cause the organizers.
  10. A volunteer is obliged to respect regulations concerning security and life, health and environment protection at work, in order to prevent jeopardizing their own health and security, as well as that of other volunteers, employees, or other people. A volunteer needs to inform their team leader of any sort of potential danger that might influence security and health at work.
  11. A volunteer is obliged to carry their pass when they are working in their shifts at a visible place, as well as the uniform provided by the organizers.
  12. A volunteer is not allowed to issue statements for media (print or electronic) without their team leader's or supervisor's approval.
  13. It is prohibited to insult other volunteers, participants or visitors of the festival on racial, gender, ethnic, political, religious, or sexual grounds.
  14. The strongest prohibition lies on alcoholic drinks and drug consumption during a volunteer's engagement.
  15. The organizer is not obliged to call every applied candidate for an interview.
  16. The organizer retains all rights concerning admission or rejection of submitted applications for volunteering at Exit Festival 2010.
  17. The organizer retains their right to allocate candidates to any position that is in accordance with the organization's needs.
  18. The organizer does not provide refund for travel expenses towards or from Novi Sad, or the expenses of their stay in Novi Sad.
  19. The organizer provides health security. It is recommendable to have one's own, or travel insurance if you are coming from abroad. The organizer bares no responsibility regarding personal items or documents loss.
  20. Disregard of any of the stated points stated in terms and conditions of volunteering will be considered a direct violation of work discipline, and will be sanctioned by depriving a volunteer of their pass and volunteering benefits.
